About the Author
Sola Ode was born in Lagos, Nigeria. She spent her early years in Surulere in the heart of Lagos. She went for secondary education at Federal Government Girls College Benin City. Edo State. This was the first time Sola was exposed to food and culture that is different to the Yoruba culture she belongs to. She spent a year at the Ado Ekiti University, Ondo State. Due to incessant strikes, She migrated to the UK to finish her University education.
This drastic change in environment from her country and culture left her no choice but to find a way to keep her sanity while attempting to adapt and learn to live in her new country of residence in the United Kingdom.
