I was born and raised in the heart of Lagos, Lagos Island which has a mix of everything one might wish for in Lagos. Talk of trade and commerce, slums, industries and many other goods and not good things.

I grew up on the street of Isale Agbede and was told about how my mum and grandma of late memory had to risk their lives from Isale Eko to get home after my birth. They were caught in between warring factions of thugs amidst machetes, bottles and swords brandished in the air.

When I Was A Teen is my personal story. In this book, I shared my life experience as a teenager in the bustling city of Lagos Island, the negative influence and peer pressure and how I charted a way for myself through seeking mentorship, hard work, and spiritual awareness.
