About the Author

Busayo Babatunde studied Medicine at the University of Ibadan for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She also completed her paediatric specialty training at the University College Hospital in Ibadan. An Ogun State indigene, she currently resides in Lagos, Nigeria, a stunning and vibrant metropolis. She currently serves as the head of the Paediatrics Department of a public hospital in Lagos. In June 2023, the Department of Medical Social Services and Hospital Management presented the department with a Humanitarian Award in recognition of her dedication to improving child healthcare.
In the past, she composed numerous tales for her loved ones’ amusement. She was motivated to create a blog on Blogspot by her elder sister during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 and The Girl, The Balcony and The Dove is her first book of fiction. Busayo offers a humorous take on real-life situations, relationship issues, and mental health on her platform.
She worships at The Elevation Church. She is an active member of the medical team and also volunteers with the Pistis Foundation of the church as a medical advisor for the Kids of The Shelter initiative. Busayo Babatunde is a Christian who has broken out of her traditional religious mould, willing to unlearn and relearn life principles. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies and indoor gardening. She is also a photography enthusiast.
