Pelisa Nkunjana is a Black Woman to watch. She is an expert in Local Government Administration, and an acclaimed community leader. She has served as Head of different Oversight Committee in the Legislature and the Executive arms of the City of Ekurhuleni Council; including as the Chairperson of Gender, Youth, Women and people living with disabilities (GEYWODI) Oversight Committee. She is a celebrated female politician in her community, and passionate about the cause of women and youth. She is a grassroots mobilizer and taking strides to greater political influence in her home country South Africa.
Pelisa studied in reputable institutions and has not relented in improving herself through continuous education. She graduated from the University of Cumbria; Wits School of Governance and Wits Business School. She also bagged a postgraduate Diploma in Public Management from the Prestigious Regenesys and she is a graduate of Africa Feminism and Gender Studies from Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute (TMALI) UNISA. She believes strongly in the leadership qualities of women as panacea for Africa’s under-development.
