Mixed Grill
₦5,000.00
The Book “Mixed Grill” is a book of two parts. The first part covers the fictitious story of a young man who wanted a different life from that which his family wanted for him. His story ends in an interestingly unpredictable way.
The second part is a collection of poems which the Author entitled “Life Inside” and Others” which contains poems of his painful experience in a maximum Security Prison in Lagos during the Nigeria-Biafra war.
This collection of poems also contains two powerful Igbo poems; one on the beauty and wonder of the butterfly; the other a touching dirge by a mother welcoming home the corpse of her only son.
The collection, thankfully, ends on a much lighter, sweeter and happier note with rhymes and what may appear as nonsensical limericks but which have lessons for all. The last poem “The Farmer’s Creed” is a case in point.
