About the author.
Shakirat Gold-Olufadi is a consultant physician and dermatologist who is passionate about mentoring, health advocacy and education especially about the skin. She became a medical doctor due to a combination of personal interest and parental nudging; a scenario which was quite common in Nigeria back in the day.
Her ability to articulate her thoughts accurately and document them for personal reflection together with mentoring and teaching others remains one of her greatest strengths. Writing had always been a pastime, and her innate abilities have been put to good use through various articles on social media and her website www.skinandall.com.
