Born to a Ghanaian prince of the royal house of Christenburg (in Osu Kinkawe), chartered accountant Emmanuel Kwaku Kumimensah Obodai, and a Sierra Leonean (Creole) primary school teacher and dressmaker, Annette Christiana Effuah Obodai (née Jackson), her story is deeply rooted in a legacy of pride, tradition, and resilience.

The memoir follows her transformative two-week journey to London—an adventure that not only opens the doors to a new world but also leads to a fateful meeting with her Nigerian husband-to-be.
