Many Nigerians claim they want a better country, but such hopes and aspirations sharply contradict their daily activities. A combination of crooked political and public officeholders and citizens’ apathy to matters of social responsibility and accountability made Nigeria a haven for financial crimes. The history of financial crimes in Nigeria, how Nigerians sabotaged the nation’s economy, the history of the fall of the Naira, issues relating to the broken educational system, overpopulation and many social costs of dishonesty were documented in this book. The author also describes anti-social and unpolished practices responsible for the individual and national stagnation of the Nigerian people.
