About the Author
Obafela Eniola Abiodun Bank-Olemoh is an entrepreneur, public speaker, leadership coach, history buff and pastor.
He is the co-founder and team lead at Knit Technologies Ltd. and FBO Training & Research Centre.
His early career started as a graduate trainee at SystemSpecs Limited – a leading financial technology and human resources solutions provider. He rose to become the Senior Manager of International Sales before resigning in 2003 to pioneer and co-found MediaVision Limited – Nigeria’s leading sports marketing & activations company. He served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2015 when he assumed public office.
From 2015 – 2019, Bank-Olemoh served as the Special Adviser on Education to the governor of Lagos State. During his tenure, he spearheaded the implementation of several award-winning human capacity development initiatives, including ReadySetWork, CodeLagos, Eko Nke Koo (Lagos is Learning), amongst others.
He then served as the Senior Special Assistant on Education Interventions to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2019-2023). In this role, he conceptualized and led the implementation of Project TMax, a Federal Government-funded skill acquisition programme that equipped approximately 15,000 participants across 7 states with skills for economic sustainability.
He also played a key role in facilitating the implementation of Generation Unlimited Nigeria (Gen U Nigeria), a United Nations-endorsed intervention, which aimed at reaching 20 million young Nigerians aged 10–24 years through Education, Skills Training, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Empowerment by 2030.
Additionally, he was a member of the Governing Board of the National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC, 2021-2023) – a body established to set standards for effective teaching and learning at the Senior Secondary School level of the Nigerian Education System.
Prior to public office, he held the position of Chairman for the Lagos State Chess Association from 2011 – 2015. He was also on the board of the Nigeria Academical Sports Committee (NASCOM) from 2012 – 2015.
For his service to humanity, Bank-Olemoh has received numerous awards, including the Lagos State Merit Award for his contribution to the education sector in 2014; RSW Best Education Intervention 2017; Code Lagos 2019; Best Education Personality 2019; and most recently, United Nations’ National Reading Ambassador 2022.
Bank-Olemoh is also a pastor at the Foundation of Truth Assembly (FOTA). He is happily married with three children and remains committed to faith, family and the development of Nigeria.
