Give Me A Word

The poetry collection GIVE ME A WORD is divided into 5 sections, starting with the poet’s SELF PORTRAIT, which contains 11 poems. In this section, the poet ripped the interior of his life and exposed it to the world. The poet has drawn a thin line between racism and the politics of his homeland. In the second section of the collection, “some feelings are better felt than,” and this is exactly what the poet illustrated in the third section, FEELINGS. The poet is torn between the girl in his imagination, Otusha Ozegya, and the one in his reality.

The fourth section is EROTICA, and the poet shamelessly bared it all, taking us back to Lafia when he gawks at the endowments of the city, leaving us breathless at all of the fantasies attained. While the collection basked in the euphoria of feelings and erotica, there was also death and BEREAVEMENT. The loss of loved ones and the mourning that lingered in the heart of the poet lingered eternally. The last section of the collection deals with RAPE CULTURE and random poems
