About the Author
Wania Ahassan, at seven (7) years of age, wrote a kids’ storybook titled “Elias And The Mysterious Marble”, which highlights to children at a young age the concepts of climate change and environmental preservation. This kids storybook has been published by the Book Society of Nigeria.
Wania decided that all sale proceeds from the book, for all copies that will ever be sold, will be donated to orphanages and causes towards climate/environmental preservation, like planting trees.
Wania, having been born here in Abuja, is a Nigerian citizen, and furthermore, she has so far received all her education exclusively here in Nigeria. Thus, this is a proud moment and achievement for Nigeria, too!
Preliminary feedback being received suggests that Wania may be the youngest author in Africa/the World who has written a kids’ storybook highlighting climate change.
Usman Ishaq –
You turned your imagination into something real, and that’s pure magic. Keep writing, keep dreaming, and keep being amazing — this is just the first chapter of your incredible story.
Muhammad Numan –
Wania is a shining example for all of us that knowledge, creativity, and kindness can begin at any age.
May Allah grant Wania success in both this world and the hereafter, and elevate her knowledge and talents.
Teach your children to dream, for those dreams can become tomorrow’s reality.
Mrs. U. M. Shugaba –
Huge congratulations to Wania on this amazing achievement! It’s truly inspiring to see a 7-year-old not only write and publish a storybook but also dedicate all proceeds to orphanages and climate causes. Her passion, talent, and generosity are beyond her years, and a real source of pride for both Nigeria and Pakistan. Wishing her continued success and recognition—she’s already making a beautiful difference in the world!
Mr. Rasikh A. –
The book was very well written and very careful development of characters and of course the theme of turtle trying to influence the environment was very thoughtful.
Mrs. Ronke –
Well done on your fantastic adventure story “Elias And The Mysterious Marble!”
Your imagination truly shines through every part of the tale. You built suspense beautifully and I was drawn into Elias’s mysterious journey right from the start.
Your description brought the scenes to life and the twist with the marble was especially clever.
Keep writing and exploring new ideas and we can’t wait to read your next adventure.
Mrs. M. Adnan –
I really enjoyed reading Elias And The Mysterious Marble storybook. It really took me to an imaginary world and the concept of a cave and the marble was soo unique… never heard or seen this in any book or movie.
I read a storybook after a long time and really enjoyed it. Want to read more about the marble and the cave, please start working on the second part.
Mr. Shaun –
I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Wania, not only for her success in writing and publishing a book, but also for her inspiring display of values and compassion toward those less fortunate.
While we strive for academic excellence, it is values like these that we aim to instill. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Wania for her selfless gesture and for being a shining example to us all!
