Mrs. Bimbo Oloyede is an author, speaker and trainer who has been a broadcast professional for nearly five decades. Employed by the then NBC/TV now NTA as an assistant producer in 1975, she was later assigned to the Presentation Department and later became a pioneer member of NTA’s Network News team and thus, the first woman to cast NETWORK NEWS on Nigerian Television.
For 25 years she has also provided professional services in speech and presentation training within the education sector and for broadcast journalists and reporters. In addition, she has groomed diplomats and corporate executives to engage confidently with the media and speak effectively in public.
As an author and promoter of English pronunciation solutions, she has written two books that help non-native speakers of English master the language. Both books, Strictly Speaking (Pronunciation Made Easy) and Strictly Speaking (An Oral Guide for Schools and Colleges), explore the origin, phonetics, expressions and variations of English, as well as the comparison with some major Nigerian languages. Her third book which is “Command Your Stage” delves into the art of public speaking and presentation.
As a keynote speaker, she equally has a wealth of experience from which to draw and having received a lifetime achievement award for journalistic excellence, it is now her intention to empower people to recognise their unique values and ideas, while confidently expressing the same to an expectant world.
