Charge and Bail

Nkeiru is charged to court for the offence of murder, culminating in protracted domestic disputes with her husband, Elvis. Ebube, an inexperienced ‘charge and bail’ lawyer, takes up her defence in less-than-ideal circumstances. Facing an ambitious and relentless prosecutor; Ebube’s defence of his uncooperative client is made even worse by his ongoing conflict with the Bar Association. Add Chiboy, Nkeiru’s son, who is willing to testify in court against his mother, to the mix, and you have a roller-coaster of a story full of nail-biting twists and turns and a shocking climax.
