Ayoka, a joyful Nigerian girl, celebrates family, culture, and identity in this heart-warming story for young readers.
For 12 years, I’ve had the joy of teaching children across Africa, watching their eyes light up as they share stories about themselves—their families, favorite foods, dreams, and homelands. Those precious moments with my students inspired me to write Ayoka—my first book for you.
I believe every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the stories they read. Ayoka was born from a desire to celebrate each child’s uniqueness while nurturing curiosity, self-awareness, and cultural pride.
