About the Author
Koko Kalango founded the Rainbow Book Club to help young people discover the joy of reading. Rainbow’s work was instrumental to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) naming Port Harcourt, Nigeria, its World Book Capital in 2014, earning her a national award. As a teenager, Koko won a national essay competition, organized by the oil company Mobil. Koko’s writing has appeared in Okike; an African Journal of New Writing, The Guardian and This Day newspapers. She has written several biographies, inspired by the stories of people she has met in 25 countries, the 3 continents she has lived in, and the countless books she has read. Koko lives in Lagos, Nigeria, with her husband, Aranyam. Together they have a daughter and a son.
