Tosin Enianke Kiyesi (TEK) was born and raised in Lagos. She completed her primary and secondary school education in Lagos, Nigeria after which she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile—Ife, Osun State. Unbroken is her debut novel. Tosin is currently an investment professional in the private equity industry in Lagos, Nigeria.

“Olorunoba onije ari laburu” resonated in my mind as I delved into Shalewa’s awe-inspiring journey in “Unbroken.” This common Yoruba prayer means “May God not let us see evil”.
Set in Nigeria, the novel intricately weaves together themes of work and marriage, prompting deep contemplation.
As the story unfolds, I found myself captivated, yet left with lingering questions, particularly regarding the enigmatic character of Funso.
“Unbroken” is a compelling read that lingers in the mind long after the final page and I recommend.
