The Trek

Moses A. Uyang is an international development/peace advocate, author, novelist, poet, and creative writer from Nigeria. In 2022, his short story Voices from Kira was among the winning pieces from writers across six African countries in a project by Engaging Borders Africa, a development organization using creative art as a soft approach to countering violent extremism. At the 2021 London School of Economics Africa Summit (Virtual), his poem, Legacies of Inequalities was accepted and presented to a global audience during the Summit. He co-edited the book The Nation Builders at 60: A Compendium of 60 Nation Builders at 60 (2020). His first book, The Trek (2016) is currently in use in one of the Universities in Nigeria.
Moses is an easy-going fellow and an ardent lover of the creative arts. He got his first degree in English and Literature-in-English (B.Ed. Hons.) from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi-Kenya and a Diploma in Religious Studies from Marist International University College, Nairobi-Kenya. He is currently in the team of the African Union Youth Envoy, supporting and influencing youth agenda across Africa.
