About the Author
A global supply chain leader, business executive, and author of the foremost supply chain children’s book – Semira and the Toy Trailblazers. With over 15 years of experience in supply chain consulting and digital transformation, she has driven logistics optimisation, cost reduction, and operational efficiency in prominent FMCGs.
She began her early career with Unilever Plc. as a Key Account Executive and became Assistant Manager, CSE/Logistics. Adenike joined Kimberly-Clark as the Customer Logistics Leader in West, East, and Central Africa. She rose to the position of Head of Supply Chain Kimberly-Clark Nigeria, in this role, she built an agile, high-performing team composed of 70% women and collaborated with clients in over 15 African nations.
She is also the Senior Consultant and Executive Director of Truss Ugavi Nigeria Limited, where she spearheads end-to-end supply chain technology solutions and streamlines operational resilience and innovation.
Achievements
Adenike managed a $170 million distribution centre project that boosted efficiency by 25% and cut costs by saving $3.2 million. She consults for multinational organisations and has mentored young female supply chain professionals through the 24:24 Supply Chain TrailblazHers program by the Digital Supply Chain Institute, New York.
She is recognised among the 100 most influential women in the supply chain (2023) and 30 African Women Inspiring Innovative Solutions (2022).
She is also passionate about helping young minds explore the fascinating world of the supply chain—so much so that she wrote Semira and the Toy Trailblazers, the first supply chain children’s book in Africa.
Education
Adenike Onasoga attended Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria. She proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, obtaining a bachelor’s in Agricultural Extension. Adenike holds an Executive MBA from Business School Netherlands. She is also a certified SCRUM Master. When Adenike is not driving digital transformation within organisations, or developing exciting supply chain adventures for kids, she is cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
