About the Author
Dr Ayodele Oni is a seasoned commercial lawyer with over 17 years of experience in advising the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry’s entire value chain. Dr. Oni has counselled various Nigerian states, electricity distribution companies and other stakeholders on issues related to the Electricity Act. His expertise has grown prominent with the inception of the Electricity Act 2023. The new Electricity Act fosters energy federalism and opens up new opportunities in the energy sector.
Dr. Oni’s expertise spans power generation, distribution, bulk trading, and related transactional, policy, legal and regulatory matters. He also shares his extensive knowledge with others as a lecturer at the University of Ibadan- Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law.
