About the Author

Paul Otu Winner was born in Sapele, with ancestral roots in Kokori Inland, Ethiope East, Delta State, Nigeria. A storyteller at heart and a filmmaker by calling, he has spent nearly a decade shaping narratives that reflect the pulse of African life—its struggles, triumphs, and resilience.

Driven by a deep concern for humanity, Paul’s fiction explores the political and historical realities that define the modern African experience. His latest novel, Red Sun Nightmare, was inspired by the growing insecurity and senseless violence in Nigeria and seeks to illuminate the forces that continue to shape the nation’s destiny. His work combines rigorous research with a compassionate eye, offering readers both context and truth through story.

Paul is also the author of Walking in Divine Power and Good Morning, Lagos. Outside of writing, he devotes his time to filmmaking, traveling, soccer, and volunteering for worthy causes. Guided by his personal philosophy—“If I live for God, I live for myself”—he continues to use art as a tool for change and reflection.
