He was the pioneer Group CEO of United Capital Plc., a leading financial investment services company. Prior to this, he was an Executive Director at the United Bank for Africa Plc. (UBA), where he led the largest strategic business Directorate in the Banking Group. Rasheed was also the pioneer CEO of UBA Africa from 2007 to 2011, during which he extended UBA’s operations into 18 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. This experience gave him a wider and deeper view of economic development issues across sub-Saharan Africa.
He holds a First-Class Honours in Civil Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, an Associate Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and an Executive MBA from the International Graduate School of Management (IESE), Spain. He has also attended many executive training programs at Lagos Business School, INSEAD, Harvard Business School, London Business School, etc.
