Jungle Justice and Other Stories is an anthology of eleven stories that reflect on the frequency of industrial strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Nigeria, and the negative effect it has on undergraduates; insurgency and terrorist attacks in the church and its after-effect on the survived victims; human trafficking and forced prostitution of young ladies; unprofessionalism of some medical doctors and centers who declare patients dead even when they’re still alive; diabolism in remote villages; love and lust amongst undergraduates on campus; political embezzlement and wastage of resources, and more… It’s strictly a reflection of the ills in the Nigerian 21st century society.

The titled story, Jungle Justice is a literary fictional story that explores a comparison between modern city life and rural village life in Nigeria. The uncertainties experienced by a young university Law graduate, Bamidele, who had all his life been told a lie by his parents about his state of origin. Out of curiosity to discover his ancestral village and family, he got the shock of his life seeing the youths of his ancestral village taking laws into their hands to publicly burn a man to death for committing murder, incest, rape, and using dark magic to hypnotize his female victims.

The collection, comprising the stories – The Orphan, Gift of Death, One Year After, A Frail Giant, The School Boarders, Deadly Pleasure, Died after Her Death, Relationships, Against My Will, and Native Languages, is thrilling and filled with conflicts, intrigues, lots of flashbacks, horrors, action thrillers, and suspense that will keep the readers yearning for more.
