Heart of a Mother

Heart of a Mother depicts the love and sacrifices of a mother Nnenna, the heroine of the novel.
Nnenna toiled to train up her children in the best possible way she could, giving them the best training due to her capability. She stood against all odds and means to violate the vow and promise she made to God and to her husband. She chose to suffer and work hard to train her children rather than to live a comfortable life and break her promise. Nnenna really portrays a good motherly role. She extended her arms of motherly love to other children. Despite all the allegations and accusations made against her, and all the sufferings she went through, she still forgave all those that hurt her and rendered help to them.

The book also reveals how selfish some people are, especially Chigozie the antagonist who committed atrocities for his own pleasure. Despite all Chigozie committed was he forgiven by everyone he hurt? What punishment was he subjected to?
