About the Author
Israel Ayanwuyi was born and raised in Onisemo-Onilu’s Compound, Oke-Isoko, Ogbomoso. Besides being a Yorùbá native, he has accumulated decades of experience in Yorùbá indigenous practices, nurturing a deep passion for dispelling misconceptions surrounding Yorùbá culture and rectifying errors in Yorùbá proverbs and spoken expressions in this contemporary time. Alongside his cultural storytelling, he is a documentary filmmaker, cultural advocate and Yorùbá educator. His cultural documentaries have been featured in some international folklore film festivals, further showcasing the richness and vibrancy of Yorùbá culture.
