About the Author
Ṣọlá Njoku is a culture critic, literary journalist, editor and mum based in the United Kingdom. She has been engaged in literary, culture and arts journalism for over a decade, and has worked with the BBC World Service. Her writing has also been featured in many Nigerian and international publications. This book – and others in the MOYO ATI KAYIN series – was inspired by her own effort to teach her bilingual and multicultural children their mother tongue and, particularly, the dearth of written resources she encountered on her journey.
The MOYO ATI KAYIN series of bilingual children’s books is aimed at promoting early multilingualism and creating an avenue for children to develop, simultaneously, a love of languages and literature. Ṣọlá continues to work on more adult and children’s writing.
