This book is a clarion call for us to return to the true tenets of Bitcoin, which is neither moon nor lambo, but decentralisation. Let’s return to the foundational principle – A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System, which has never existed before.
We are still very early in the journey of the adoption and use of Bitcoin. It’d be worthy of note that this is a marathon, not a sprint. The attempt to build crypto was on for at least three decades before Bitcoin was finally born. So, maybe we should give Bitcoin three decades before we can decide if people are adopting it as they should.

I’ve attempted to draw the connecting line from the origin of money, through barter, Central Banking, and economic collapses, down to the evolution of private currencies, the libertarian movement, the unveiling of Satoshi Nakamoto, down to the birth, adoption, and use of Bitcoin every day for trade, payments, remittances, charity, store of value, et al. I’ve also touched on the buzzwords ‘Blockchain’ and ‘Cryptocurrency’ but I must pre-inform you that this book is centred around Bitcoin, not cryptocurrency.

Today, we have the privilege of having an asset we can own 100%, that cannot be confiscated, stolen, destroyed, inflated, banned, or sanctioned so long as you alone have access to your private keys.
I have chosen to capitalise the first letter of Bitcoin all throughout this book, and I hope you do not ask me why. Enjoy a most pleasant read!
