About the Author
Yakubu Mohammed, a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, was an associate editor and later managing editor of the New Nigerian . He edited the National Concord before he co-founded the trailblazing weekly newsmagazine, Newswatch with Dele Giwa, Ray Ekpu and Dan Agbese. As a columnist, his writings were published in the New Nigerian, National Concord, the Guardian and Daily Trust.
He was pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He also served in the same capacity at the Federal University of Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State. In politics, he aspired to be Governor of Kogi State. He is happily married with children and grandchildren. He lives with his family in Lagos.
