The authors explored the uncertainties glimpsed behind the myriad of issues facing the citizenry with the hope of a better tomorrow. They situated their text within the closely allied thematic areas of diversity, identity crisis, price of poverty, lack of education, security imperatives, the struggle of the young people, and drowned voice among others often invoking conversations to undercut the possibilities of a great nation. Given the rhetoric of heroism of our founding fathers, we are compelled to curb the menace in society and optimize participation by all in governance to tame the adverse effect of a militarized economy and unleash a season of prosperity. By combating disinformation, and misinformation, and exploring the tourism potential in colonial history, the citizens at home complement Nigeria’s global players putting our country on the world map.
The authors Edward Agbai, Nyerere Anyim, Okey Udo, and Nengi Jeremiah are committed professionals in various fields who put their wealth of experiences together to craft this masterpiece ‘A Great Nation in Bewilderment’ to contribute to the body of knowledge and literature of contemporary Nigeria.
