About the Author
Binta Ataja has always been deeply passionate about caring for the sick, a calling that has followed her throughout her life. From an early age, she instinctively took on the role of a caregiver, tending to her mother when she fell ill and later, as a young girl in her village, nursing children with untreated sores back to health. Despite this natural inclination toward healing, Binta pursued a successful career in banking, earning her education from the New Zealand Institute of Bankers and dedicating 33 years to the financial sector before retiring.
Now, at 62 years old and living with diabetes, Binta has returned to her original passion, which is seeking knowledge on health, healing and natural remedies. Through scientific research and traditional wisdom, she explores the role of herbs, spices and nutrition in managing diabetes and overall well-being.
Thriving with Diabetes: My Account is a testament to Binta Ataja’s journey of self-discovery. resilience, and the pursuit of holistic health. Binta hopes that by sharing her experiences, she can inspire others to take control of their health and explore natural ways to support their bodies. When she isn’t researching or writing, she enjoys running her small business, reading, and spending time with her family.
