   THE GIRL IN THE LABYRINTH

   As I held onto the book, I was fascinated by the author’s purpose and title which provoked the curiosity inside of me and gave me an optimistic feeling that I am gonna have a mind trilling and wonderful read. As I flip through the pages of the book keenly, I was so immersed with great admiration at the choice of words and resourcefulness put into play by the author. Her style of writing will definitely evoke the spirit inside of you to push further in other to discover what’s at stake. I was marvelled by the story line, plot, settings, character, interaction, fictitious nature, culture involvement, religious acknowledgement, excerpt from books, assumptions, climax, twist of fate, unrealistic occurrence and what have you.

   She did a really great job by making everything seems real. As I continue flipping through the pages zealously, at a point, I thought I was watching a movie due to the triggering scenes (Did I just say scene? Of course it looks like one to me). The story actually looks exactly like it given name and expresses it big time. The book is well organized in terms of plot and has a well defined purpose. There are great number of lessons to be taken from the book. It speaks about betrayal, uprightness, hatred, genuine love, happiness, cruelty and many more.

   Oyiza who later found out that she’s Fatima and was birthed with a silver spoon had a complicated series of path to follow. She was fortunate enough to find herself in a wealthy house due to an ugly circumstance but couldn’t fathom why everything seems familiar to her.

   Despite her ugly past at the orphanage and her haphazard memory that only shows up often in blurry pattern, she remained a strong and resilient girl.

   Her family who she’s yet to discover were associated with illegal activities. Her real Dad, Mamrus was a drug baron and the person, Alhaji Momoh she’s living with is one of her father’s biggest dealer. Although she was warmly received in the house but something was not just right with the people around.

   To me, Oyiza was the solution to the puzzles the Momohs were battling to crack and her presence was a mere coincidence and a turning point in the family. It brought into limelight the hidden truth and cause the family to reunite after a long time feud caused by sheer misunderstanding.

   I know you are curious at this point and want to know more about the book, but I won’t go further to reveal to you what you should find out yourself. I’m compelling you to get a copy and see for yourself what happened to Oyiza. There’s something I didn’t mention about the main character Oyiza initially and it’s intentional.
