About the Author
Kola Ayodele is a Nigerian-American poet, visual storyteller, and author of fiction who has been published in magazines like Pepper Coast Lit and AFREADA. He is also the founding editor of Communa Magazine. Having spent his formative years across continents and cultures, his work often serves as a mirror of the complex patchwork of immigrant identity. Kola’s poetry, at its best, is akin to unfurling tightly delivered explosions of emotion. His poems so artfully express familiar feelings and concerns, bridging the gap between page and reader. Ruins of Us is his first published collection of poetry.
