National Security in Nigeria: The Appropriate Architecture

National security is so fundamental that without it, there is no functional nation-state. No one in a nation-state which has failed to provide national security will not be negatively impacted. It is, therefore, strange that the Nigerian people have allowed matters of their security to be hijacked by those who are benefiting from the dark veil that they have cast on their security. This deception has been perpetuated under the pretext of maintaining national security secrecy.

This humble memorandum on the fundamentals of the Nigerian security architecture will promote good governance and the welfare of all persons in Nigeria.
