The book started with an introduction to Tourism, with a definition of what tourism is, products and types of tourism products, forms of tourism, and the history of Nigerian tourism dating back to 1485, an interesting read. In chapter two the author took us through the components of tourism and the concept of multiplier effect in tourism.

The book also covered the structure of the tourism industry, the benefits of tourism to a nation, entrepreneurship, careers in the tourism industry and youth tourism activities, and investment opportunities in the Nigerian tourism sector.
In the second part of the book the author took us through travel and accommodation in the tourism industry, tourism planning, domestic tourism and entertainment, marketing tourism, and digitization and it rounded that part with safety and the security of tourists.

The third part of the book focuses on tourist attractions in Nigeria, including community events, National Parks, and the factors hindering the growth of the tourism industry in Nigeria.
The last chapter summarizes the way forward for the tourism industry in Nigeria in which the author wrote about the need to improve service delivery in hotels, restaurants, transportation, tourist attraction sites, and the packaging of tours among many others.

In addition, the book has a distance chart in kilometers and, a list of some tourist sites, state by state. List of galleries both national and private, tourism organizations, list of caves, rocks, festivals, Zoos, Hiking sites, national museums, and private museums.
