Exploring the Old Testament

Samuel J. Schultz, had taught in several institutions including
Gordon (MA) College, Bethel College, St. Paul Bible College (now
Crown College) in MN, until he retired as Professor Emeritus of
Bible and Theology at Wheaton Graduate School. An ordained
minister, he had also served as an interim pastor for several
congregations. Before his passing in 2005, he had authored
numerous books including the popular text The Old Testament
Speaks. He held degrees from Bethel College, John Fletcher
College and Faith Seminary, as well as a Masters and Doctorate
from Harvard Divinity School.
Gary V. Smith has taught at Bethel Theological Seminary
in St. Paul Minnesota, for 15 years. He also taught at Union
University and as Professor of Old Testament at Midwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary. He has assisted in several
Bible translations and has authored several books including
two volumes on the book of Isaiah in The New American
Commentary series
