Akin Akingbogun is a talented writer and storyteller, a published author of four fiction works, a performance coach, a civil engineer, and a banker.
A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Akin’s passion for writing spans multiple genres and he is popular for crafting engaging short fiction stories that capture the imaginations of his readers. His writing often explores themes of human connection, mental health, common societal issues, and the complexities of life.
Akin has developed a unique voice that blends wit, humor, and insight into his stories, from his first literary work, Prisoner of Fate, published in 2021, to Waste of Sin (2022), Blood in the Water (2022), Dreams from yesterday,” (2023) and now Damaged goods (2024)
Akin creates book characters that are often crafted with charisma and sapience and his reflections of the Nigerian landscape are often always positive lending a good public image to the nation that almost everyone would rather see bastardised.
Akingbogun’s originality can also not be debated. He allows his craft to lead where it pleases with no attempt to pander to the West by exploring poverty porn to gain plaudits and patronage.
