About the author.

Dr. Chinyere Almona is the Director-General/ Chief Executive at Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She has thirty years of diversified leadership experience in various roles, sectors, and countries. She was the head of the IFC’s Africa Corporate Governance Program, which provided corporate governance reforms across Africa.

Before joining the IFC, Dr. Almona was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading the Corporate Governance, Risk, and Compliance Practice, which she established. She has a specialist MBA in CSR from Nottingham University Business School, UK. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the Institute of Management Consultants, and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Directors (Ghana). She holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from Business School Netherlands.

She is the author of Corporate Governance for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in African Economies, among other books. She is an international speaker and an accredited IFC Board Leadership trainer.
