Ayanfe

Princess Ayanfe’s only duty is to marry the Prince of Irefa, buy the land of Agbo Ode the eastern sea routes and make her father happy. Love has no place where duty is concerned as princesses are merely for marital alliances.

When information reaches her that an accused man might just be innocent, she goes against the kingdom’s laws to investigate the truth. There is the possibility that she might save a life and a greater chance of impressing Dehinde, the captain of her father’s army, a man for whom she has developed a strong affection.

Captain Dehinde walks the fine line between his official duties and his heart. He can’t deny his attraction to Princess Ayanfe, but he must hide it or the penalty would be grievous. Her subsequent plea for his help in solving a murder puts her in his company and him in the crosshairs of the Crown Prince and the Tribunal Council. There are larger forces at play but Dehinde must make a decision. Does he do his duty as the Head of the Army and ensure the alliance goes on as planned, or does he run away with her?
