Chisom Nwokwu (fondly called TechQueen) is currently a Software Engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria who currently works with the Sustainability team at Microsoft.
In August 2021, she graduated from the University Of Nigeria, with a B.Sc in Computer Science right after rounding up her internship with the Bank Of America, where she worked as a Technology Analyst. In October 2022 she got recognised as the Rising Star of the Year by The Women Tech Network and She Code Africa as someone who has made tremendous progress in a short period of time.
With over 50+ speaking engagements, she spends her time helping people get started in tech, build early tech careers and land roles at top tech companies just as she has done. She does this by hosting 1:1 sessions and masterclasses.

“A Techie’s Guide into the Big Tech Companies” is a phenomenal resource for anyone aspiring to break into the tech giants. I don’t even know where to start, this book is everything! It has been instrumental in helping me prepare for most of my interviews and strategically position myself for opportunities at major tech firms. Thanks to this guide, I was invited by three of the Big Four companies, and I’m currently in the second stage with one of them.
The book’s insights into behavioral questions were particularly invaluable. I read and re-read that section so many times; it truly suffered in my hands! 😂 The advice helped me articulate my experiences confidently and align my answers with what these companies look for.
Another highlight of the book is the font choice. It is incredibly easy to read, making the process enjoyable and keeping me engaged throughout. The Engineer Spotlight sections were also a standout feature, offering inspiring stories and practical tips from industry veterans.
