NO SAFE HAVEN

This is the sixth edition of No Safe Haven, an annual compilation of selected print media reports of attacks on women and young girls in Nigeria published in 2009. The first edition was published in 2000, to serve as a valuable resource material and database for all, especially, students, researchers, legislators , social workers, policy makers and judicial officers. For the purpose of legislative advocacy, the publication has helped replace the traditional cynicism often identified with the male legislators about women’s issues, with deep concern for the prevalent nature, forms and consequences of violence against women and girls. This edition goes a step further to provide an analysis of the case documented.
