The story is fast-paced with surprising twists and a captivating plot – a Dickenesque page-turner. This is Ebinimi’s story but it is about a lot more than him. It is an exploration of the dynamics between working-class people as they undertake a colourful tour of Yenagoa, one of Nigeria’s lesser-known cities, while using humour, sex, and music, as coping mechanisms for the everyday struggle.
It is a modern classic tale of small lives navigating a big city.

To be honest, what attracted me to this book wasn’t the reviews I had read about it but its nicely done graphics designed cover.
Having read the book, I clap at the wit, grit and the centre stage that money, betrayal and greed take in our communities, portrayed superbly in this book.
Ebinimi’s story is no different or unimaginable to be true. It is an African man’s story of trying to keep up with his fast paced life of sex, relationship, religion, loyalty, family, work and the rope that holds them altogether- money.
You only begin to wonder how much trouble a man can get into before he is truly called a man. Michael Afenifa’s work is all of funny, thrilling and suspense filled. It read like a real day to day life in a typical growing Nigerian city.

Very hilarious and chaotic. Loved the never ending drama in Ebinimi’s life. I enjoyed every bit of the book. Afenfia did a great job! Would definitely recommend.
