Birdsong is a poetry book of 69 pages, split into three themes: love, hurt and learn.
The book exalts love in its jarring and subtle forms of a mother, a lover, of self. It runs through the euphoria of loving for the first time, the teasing, asking, wanting; to the agony of love lost, by death, by choice; and the grace of picking oneself up through the rot of heartbreak.
